Shelf or Table Abstracta by Poul Cadovius 1960

Shelf or Table Abstracta by Poul Cadovius 1960

Shelf or side table model Abstracta, designed by the Danish Poul Cadovius in the 1960s for Royal System.

This internationally award-winning shelving system has been in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York (MoMA) since 1967.

The Abstracta system is made up of tubular steel pieces that fit together by means of connectors to create a beautiful set of shelves accompanied by glass, metal, wood or glass shelves.

This model is presented as a side table with two transparent rectangular glass shelves that are framed in the structure.

A minimalist and timeless piece that shows little signs of use.
