Arquímedes Floor Lamp (Tramo 1974)

Arquímedes Floor Lamp (Tramo 1974)

Arquímedes floor lamp, designed by Gemma Bernal and Ramón Isern and edited by Tramo (Barcelona) in 1974.

The structure of the Lamp is made from beech wood with a system of weights that allows it to be articulated and tilted. Its pyramid-shaped lampshade is adjustable and comes in black lacquered aluminium, incorporating the on/off switch in the upper part of the lamp. The base in cross-shaped is also in black lacquered aluminium and permits a perfect union with the wooden base.

This is a lamp with simple, elegant lines that provides warmth thanks to the materials used. The wiring has been checked and is working.

A piece that is currently included in the catalogue of the Barcelona Design Museum and that leaves no one indifferent due to its great beauty.

This lamp was marketed by Tramo in 1974-1975. From 1975 García Garay produced another version of it. And years later, Vibea and Aromas del Campo also do it.

Measures: 170cm high x 136cm wide x 44cm base.
